Sam has over 7 years experience in the recording industry. His return to Christchurch following last year’s stint with Craig Schumacher and Chris Schultz of Tucson, Arizona’s beloved Wavelab Studio boosts out cities depleted stock of exciting young engineers. While there he had the privilege of working with South-West desert dwellers Calexico and Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), indie-mambo star Sergio Mendoza, Amos Lee and Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley.
In New Zealand Sam has worked alongside the lovely Hollie Fullbrooke (aka Tiny Ruins), Nadia Reid and Hannah Harding to name but a few. Sam’s passion for music and his excellent musicianship on a wide range of instruments adds immeasurably to his talent for capturing your sound in a creative and dynamic way.
We also have Ben Delany who, over the last 10 years, has worked in numerous studios with a wide range of artists such as Von Voin Strum, The Eastern, LA Mitchell, Marlon Williams and Anthesiac. His experience extends to commercial radio voice over and television production engineering.
In 2011 Ben completed a Mastering course from SAE obtaining an impressive 97.4% pass mark. Ben is an excellent mastering engineer and his expertise in the 'dark art' of mastering is extensive. He is an accomplished musician and plays guitar, bass and keys. Ben has a growing collection of boutique audio gear that is available to use at Riverside (on request). Ben brings a friendly and personable approach to the audio projects he works on, as well as a strong desire for achieving excellent results. Ben has a degree in music and production.
